Originally released in February 2017, Philippe Lacheau’s comedy “Alibi” met with a positive critical reception, and at the box office, we knew that a sequel would be coming sooner rather than later. Well, it’s finally here! The highly anticipated “Alibi 2” will be in all major cinemas on February 8, following its premiere at Alpe d’Huez’s international comedy film festival. After the closure of the agency, Greg’s (Lacheau) life was quiet until he decided to propose to Flo (Florence Plame) and had to introduce his crooked father (Didier Bourdon) and his actress ex-mother (Nathalie Baye). He has no other choice but to open the agency again and find fake parents for his daughter.

In this sequel, we see Philippe Lacheau again as director, screenwriter, and actor, along with the same writers (Jean-Luc Arruti and Pierre Dudan, with Pierre Lacheau as co-writer), as well as some of the actors around Philippe’s team, including Elodie Fontan, Tareck Boudali, ArielleIn the original film, we follow a startup that creates an alibi to hide their clients’ private lives, and in the sequel, we follow the main character as he leaves his agency and vows never to lie again, only to add to the fun as he has to conceal his divorce-ridden criminal dad and erotic film mother from his soon-to-be wife as the wedding date draws near. The film is produced by Christophe Cervoni via his Axel films, Lacheau through his BAF prod, and Marc Fiszman through his Fiszman co-prods, with Studiacanal and TF1 Films producing alongside TF1 Studio.
