More About Barefoot:

Barefoot gen is the story of a younger boy named gen nakarawa and his own family dwelling in hiroshima, japan in the course of world battle ii. Gen’s own family is poor and struggles to make ends meet. His father is a pacifist and refuses to fight within the battle, which makes him unpopular with the japanese authorities.

One morning in august 1945, gen is shocked to pay attention a loud growth and then see a vivid light out of doors his window. Gen is one of the few survivors of the atomic bomb dropped on hiroshima. Gen and his own family are lucky enough to continue to exist, but their city is destroyed. Gen embarks on a journey to rebuild his hometown and reunite along with his family.
