Summary

Three lords Elves, Dwarves and Men are given the rings of power. The Dark Lord Sauron, unnoticed, makes the One Ring making it more powerful than others. After a series of battles won and lost, the ring is finally found by Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who is unaware of its history. On his 111th birthday, he returns to his friend Gandalf, the wizard informing him about his departure from Shire for one last adventure. The ring is finally passed on to Frodo, his nephew.

Gandalf investigates the ring and finds someone codes as a warning. He warns Frodo and makes him leave. In order to help him, he finds out that the other wizard has joined forces with Sauron to find Frodo. On his way, Frodo and Sam are accompanied by Merry and Pippin. They are supposed to wait for Gandalf but he never arrives because he gets imprisoned.

Meanwhile, Frodo is stabbed with Moguls blade which is actually the doing of Nazgûl. He is rescued by Strider and healed by Arwen, an elf. They are united with Gandalf and then Lord Elrond, Arwen’s father, decides to destroy the ring once and for all. Frodo steps forward and decides to do this task. He is accompanied by his friends here too.

On their way, they face hardships and constant attacks. The fellowship finally reaches Lothlórein where queen Galadriel enlightens Frodo that he will have to do this alone because one of the members will try to acquire the ring. On the other hand, a Uruk-hai army is created by Saruman to end the fellowship.

On reaching Parth Galen, Boromir confronts Frodo and demands the ring as predicted. The fellowship is attacked by the army and in fear of corrupting his friends, Frodo decides to travel alone towards the Mordor. He, somehow, thinks to take Sam with him mainly because of the promise he made to Gandalf. The movie ends here keeping the viewers in awe of what is about to come next.
