More About Manifest Season 1:
On April 7, 2013, Michaela, Ben, and Cal Stone boarded flight 828 from Jamaica’s Montego Bay. The flight hits some turbulence and has an unexpected storm, which is normal for this type of flight. When they land and get off the plane, they are told it’s 4 November 2018. It’s 36 hours later when they meet up with their family. Olive is 5 years older, but Cal is the same age he was at the time of the flight, even though they’re twins. Ben’s mom passed away while Michaela was running on the beach, and that’s where the mystery of 828 begins.
If you’re expecting answers, you’re in for a world of trouble. Manifest is primarily a soap opera, with a few sci-fi and mystery touches thrown in to keep things moving. After a solid opening, only the final three episodes (5, 9) offer anything of substance and move the story along, before the last third introduces more mysterious elements and seemingly dispels the mystery of the missing plane for now.
